On Tuesday 3rd July 2018, IDF soldier Eleazar Azaria visited Tel Rumeida in Hebron, exactly where he opened fire two years ago on the martyr Abdel Fattah Sharif.
This provocative visit was organised by a group of settlers living in the settlements of the Old City, headed by Baruch Marzel. They celebrated the scene of the shooting, praising the murderer with words of glorification, making him a national legend.
Dozens of settlers gathered from the settlements of the Old City and Kiryat Arba in Tel Rumeida, raising banners calling for the Palestinians to leave and crying out racist statements.
Residents of Tel Rumeida reported that the settlers' celebration of the murderous soldier is an inhumane act. The widespread occupation army forces that guard and protect this killer demonstrates their provocation of the Palestinian citizens, who have been prevented from their right to movement, including going in and out of their homes.
