On the morning of Monday, 2nd July 2018, Israeli Occupation Forces attacked three houses in Shuhada Street belonging to the families of Abu Haikal, Yacoub Ramadan, and Um Sadeq Abu Rumaila.

Eyewitnesses told the HRC Legal Unit that Israeli Soldiers stormed two houses to reach HRC workers who were working in the house of Abu Haikal, which was inhabited by the Sami Zahdeh family. The soldiers aimed to stop the maintenance work and installation of metal grilles for the windows of the house.

HRC General Director, Imad Hamdan, said that the Israeli Occupation Forces stormed the houses and prevented HRC workers from carrying out repairs in the Palestinian houses in Shuhada Street. This is part of the Israeli plan to expel residents from their homes in this street and other places, especially in homes next to the settlements in the Old City of Hebron.
